Virtual Christmas Eve

Thursday, December 24th at 7:00pm

The people of Thalia UMC will gather virtually to celebrate the light that is still shining at 7pm on Christmas Eve. If you want to celebrate the light of Christ, you can worship with us on Zoom, YouTube, or this page. There will be time for singing, prayer, a brief message, Holy Communion, and candlelight.

If you want to participate in the service through Zoom, click the button below. Otherwise, you’re welcome to watch the live stream through YouTube. Pastor Joe and other members of the church will be logged into the Zoom meeting at 6:30 on Christmas Eve for anyone who wants to test their connection to the service. Preservice music will start around 6:50pm, so be sure to log on early!

Additionally, there is a call-in number for people who do not have a computer or internet access. A letter was mailed to several members of our church family with the phone number to make sure everyone is able to participate in this unique opportunity.

The YouTube stream will broadcast directly to our website on Thursday night. The YouTube link will also be available to share via Facebook so you can invite friends and family from your network to worship with us.

Finally, we are going to celebrate Holy Communion and light candles as we sing “Silent Night” at the end of the service, so be sure to have bread, juice, and a candle ready for Christmas Eve. Candles and prepackaged communion elements, which have already been consecrated, will be available at the office Monday through Wednesday from 9am to 12pm if you need them.

If you have any questions, feel free to email Pastor Joe.

Merry Christmas!
